Object Description
Sculptural ceramic form consisting of a vase atop a pedestal. The vase has four hand-built "wing" attachments at the cardinal directions. Both components are highly decorated with floral, animal, abstract, and vessel imagery. Most of the images are in relief as well as being painted with polychrome underglazes (ultramarine, light pthalo, cobalt blue, light blue, red, black and white) over which a clear glaze was applied. The artist states that there are sixty vessels depicted in the imagery on the work.
