Object Description
Edo period color woodblock print with an image of a kabuki actor. The actor is wrapped in colorful layers of clothing that emphasize the coldness of the weather and focus attention on his form. Overhead geese are migrating south, and a poem about the season is elegantly inscribed. This print probably was part of a diptych.
