Multicolored enamels on a bronze and copper base.
Object Description
Chinese classic Hu-shaped cloisonné vase, squarish in form, with four open window panels of copper or brass in the body covered with relief work of scenes from Chinese life. The body is decorated in multicolored enamels in a floral pattern on a turquoise blue field. The vase also has a copper base decorated with cloisonné, and has a removable neck insert. The object appears to be a product of the early 19th century, later restored.
