Commentary
Used in Bruce Coats class for comparison studies. Old number "L1136/5" is written in pencil on the backing paper. The Munthe catalog (p.5) lists this work as "Two Physicians of the Han Dynasty," and attributes it to Chou Hing-t'ung, a Song Dynasty painter.

Marks
There is a large square red ink seal stamped in the center of the upper edge of the image. A round seal is to the left of this, and an oval seal is stamped upon the right border of the top edge, with much of it falling upon the brocade border. Two small square red ink stamps are below this. There are two small and one medium sized red ink seal stamped in the lower left corner of the image.

Mounted vertical scroll depicting two peasant men carrying bundles of kindling in their arms and on their backs. The men both wear blue hats and sashes. A bare tree stretches above them, in the left of the image.
