Object Description
Ideal Head, one of several that Fuller painted, appears to be unique among the group in its depiction of a profile. In the style of Fuller's last decade, the color is dense and bituminously murky with an overall evocative haze. The facial contours are blurred by the rich layering of thick, textured paint. As in many of Fuller's portraits, the subject is a young, idealized woman."
