Cast or hand-built terracotta figure with slip and incising.
Object Description
Pre-conquest Mexican terracotta standing male figure. He wears a loincloth with two ribbons handing down from the waist, and appears to have a skirt on underneath this. The figure is adorned with a necklace with incising, and a headdress with the same pattern. The shoulders are decorated with scarification badges or pads for protection in battle. The figure is covered with slip and there is deep incising on the ends of the arms.
