Commentary
Anjelica Huston (1951–), daughter of Oscar-winning director John Huston, was at the very beginning of her career in 1980. She would go on to star in Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), The Addams Family (1991), and Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993). She would win an Academy award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Prizzi’s Honor (1985) and two more nominations throughout her long and successful years as an actress. Childers captures Huston as a young woman on the cusp of a prodigious career in Hollywood, her commanding presence and composure on stage visible as her arresting gaze challenges the camera.
