Written on the outside of the scroll in pencil: 104 Landscape U.C.'43. Ming. Ch'iu Ying.

On paper afixed to end exterior of scroll: "#10 104 Landscape Ming Chui Ying Landscape."
Signature and red ink seal along the right edge, near the bottom. Inscription (3 1/2 lines) and two square red ink seals in the upper area, just left of center.

Rust brown, blue, green, and white paint and black ink brushed on silk. Navy blue and silver silk brocade strip (Ichimonji-jo and Ichimonji-ge) above and below the painting. Ivory silk brocade mounting. Maru Hyogu style scroll.

Object Description
Buildings set in a landscape of mountains and water. There is a large residence at the top of the painting. Smaller houses are scattered amongst the hills below this. A pavilion is depicted in the lower center. Two figures can been seen in the interior of the upper house.
