Commentary
This looks like a genuine painting by the Qing dynasty artist Wang Yun. Wang Yun was a very well-known professional artist during the Kangxi era (1662-1722) and was friends with artistic luminaries such as Wang Hui and Yang Jin. There are excellent details in the figures in this autumn landscape scene. This is a very high quality work, Professor Kathleen Ryor, Carleton College
Marks
On outside of scroll, in pencil: Autumn by the Seashore. Ching Kang Wang Yün. Autumn. Dated 1707, and signed Wang Yün in the upper right (text and two red seals). There is a large square red ink seal stamped in the lower left corner.
Medium
Colored paints and black ink on silk, with an off-white silk brocade mounting.
