Commentary
This work was printed before WWII. The woodblock was carved and printed by the artist.

Marks
Artist's signature (Takeji ga-to) on the bottom left and (Takeji suri) on the left margin. The artist's seal (Asano) is on the left margin.

Object Description
This work depicts "Incline, Shoka": a canal and the railroad tracks that run toward the water, probably for loading cargo directly from a train to a cargo ship. Several people are enjoying fishing on a quiet, sunny day in early summer.
