Commentary
Villagers near Edo suffered from famine. Their headman Sakura Sogo wanted to support them, left his family and made the illegal request for support to the Shogun. The appeal was accepted but the family was condemned to death. The execution occurred in 1653. Jan van Reek: http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/rekius/dip02.htm
