Chuck Arnoldi in His Venice Studio, 2003
Ink on paper
14 x 11 in. (35.56 x 27.94 cm)
Born and raised in the Midwest, Chuck Arnoldi (1946–) relocated to Southern California for college and wound up attending the California Institute of the Arts and settling permanently in the Los Angeles area. A sculptor and a printmaker who is most well known for his bright paintings, Childers captured Arnoldi in his studio in Venice, where he has been producing work in a riot of colors for almost thirty years. Framed against one of his large paintings, Arnoldi stands out against the background but remains inseparable from his artwork.
