Object Description
This print, a portrait of Renoir's agent Vollard, was commissioned in the late 19th century by Vollard. This print, along with others by Renoir, was made to illustrate a book on the artist, which was completed in 1900. The original copper plates were stored in the basement of the Vollard summer house. The Vollard family discovered the plates in 1996 and had them printed by the original printing studio in Paris.
