Object Description
Lady Tokiwa, wife of Minamoto no Yoshitomo (1123-1160) escapes with her three sons from Kyoto to nearby Fushimi after her husband was killed. (See also 2005.1.62) Inset: Kabuki actor, probably in the role of Taira no Kiyomori (1118-1181), who forced Tokiwa to become his concubine.
