Commentary
From "Showa Shokugyo E-zukushi" ("Sketches of Occupations in the Showa Era"). The first of this large series was published by Nishinomiya Shoin from 1938 to 1943. It was very popular and was even featured in the Asahi Newspapers every time the new design was published. It was interrupted by WWII. After the war, Kyota Hanga-in continued with it.
