Commentary
"Classic subject matter of artists, the water lily instantly conjures images for me of a Monet painting or fairytale decor. This image was taken at the Botanical Gardens in Leiden [South Holland, Netherlands]. The contrasts are bold and obvious as the rounded petals and pads of the delicate white flowers are imprisoned within a dark reflection of geometric gridwork. This image has a mate and is part of a series."
