Verso: “Ne pas h’lete mais garder le h’ler noir autour de la plioto,” written in the top middle in pencil.
“CULTURE” underlined twice, written 3 ½” below the top right corner in pencil.
Stamped in black ink in the middle of the photo is, “Reproduction print strictly for use in printed matter and not exhibition or collection/ Epreuve destinee uniquement a la reproduction et en aucun cas pour exposition ou collectionneurs.”
“H.C.B.” is written under that stamp in pencil.
3/4” from the initials is, “14743/2A” written in black ink. Under that, is a stamp in black ink “Henri Cartier-Bresson.”
Under the stamp, is “The French Painter, Balthus Perso” with everything written in black ink except for the underline and Perso, which is done in green ink.
2 3/4” from the bottom is a double-sided arrow extending along the width of the work with the words, “141 mm” circled in between the lines.
On the bottom right corner is, “2017.12.25” written in pencil
Written upside down on the top is the stamp in fading black ink, “Tirage Achives Magnum Photos Epreuve a rendre”, and “Epreuve a rendre” has been crossed out in black ink."
