Object Description
Ninteenth century Japanese color woodblock print depicting a snow scene with large wood beams in the foreground and men on rafts on a river in the distance. Depicts the Fuka River, in the timber district; logs floating in the water and stacked on shore, the whole scene under heavy snow falling from an almost black sky. In foreground the top of a yellow umbrella. The density of the sky varies in different impressions from almost deep black to grey.
