Commentary
"Another southern California artist interested in the super object was Mineo Mizuno. In Sculpture (Screw), 1973, he created a perfectly crafted, 'metal' screw in clay. Its sculptural presence is created by its size: at 37 inches in length, it is more than ten times the size of a utilitarian piece of hardware." (Martha Drexler Lynn, Revolution in Clay, 1994, pg. 106)
