Object Description
Hatsune, "New Year's Churping of Japanese Nightengale". As Murasaki looks on, Genji listens to his daughter, the Akashi Princess, read new year's greetings from the Akashi Lady. The letter had been sent attached to a pine bough decorated with baskets of candy.
The chapter summary is printed in English and Japanese in a tissue overlay. The print is still in the original folder.
