The painting is dated to 1676, painted in the Baogutang (Treasuring Antiquity Hall) by someone from Qiantang (Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province). The quality of the painting is decent—appears to be by someone influenced by Zhe School masters. Not surprising since Hangzhou had a strong tradition of professionalism.

The scroll is signed and dated (1660-1720) in the upper left with the inscription "written at the treasury hall." The signature is unknown.

Unfortunately, the two characters of the signature are difficult to read.
