There is a Genji seal in the upper right, along with an oval bearing text. Two red banners with text are printed in the left side of the image, in the center. There is text printed on the backing paper.
Colored ink woodblock print on off-white paper. Oban tate-e.
Edo period color woodblock print depicting two bijin disguised as cormorant fishermen. In the background night fishing is in progress. This is considered one of the best designs in the "Story of Genji" set.
