Object Description
Color woodblock print of a scene from the Noh play Sumiyoshi mode (Pilgrimage to Sumiyoshi), inspired by Chapter 14 of The Tale of Genji. Prince Genji arrives at the Shinto shrine of Sumiyoshi, located in Osaka.
