Commentary
Genji visits the Akashi Lady and her daughter.

The Tosa School produced hundreds of such albums over 500 years when their "production line" studios painted works of both deluxe quality and "affordable" quality for a wide variety of patrons. This work is an early example that falls into the second group, probably owned by a merchant family interested in "the classics."
