Commentary
This was accessioned as a container from the Benue Valley in Nigeria, but has been since re-labelled as an object made by the moche group of ancient Peru.

Object Description
This is a large water jug with a foot. It has been reduced to black with an incised decoration around the top of the body. There is also some crosshatching. There is a loop handle and a monkey/man shaped head near the base. The shape is fairly crude. It is unburnished and hand-formed.
