Multicolored enamels and irridescent colors on a brass base.
Object Description
Chinese meiping bottle with a design of butterflies, geometric, and floral patterns executed in multicolored enamels and irridescent colors on a blue and black field. The enamels are mainly jewel-toned (sapphire, ruby, and emerald) with smaller designs in black, pink, green, and turquoise. The bottle has a bulb near the top, narrowing at the neck, and widening at the mouth. There is glossy turquoise enamel within the neck.
