The foot marking (an engraved seal)reads "Ch'ien Lung Nien Chih" (Made in the era of Ch'ien Lung (1736-1796)). The top has "L.1780.96" written on the underneath in yellow.

The pot is executed in multicolored enamels on a bronze base. The lid is carved wood.

Chinese cloisonné incense burner with tripod legs, decorated with a foliage pattern in multicolored enamels on a blue field. The pot has two square handles which extend up from the top edge. The lid is of carved wood.
