Commentary
From the series, "Osaka Fukei," ("Scenery of Osaka"). No. 15 "Yotsubashi": the four-point bridge. The note on the index of the series states, "The artist Rinsaku Akamatsu, who is an authority on Western-style painting in Japan, selected these 24 views of Osaka, which were most known for their scenery in pre-war days."

Object Description
The work depicts the bridge, which spans the foreground on the viewer's right to the mid-ground at the left. Three figures are in the foreground, on the left. In the center, mid-ground, there is a bulding with a tower. A graceful willow is depictd at the side of the bridge on the right in the foreground.
