Commentary
In 1986, Matsubara's travels to Tibet transformed the way she perceived space and color. From this experience, she created the Tibetan Sky series, comprised of 27 works and ten years in the making.

Object Description
The work depicts a horizontal field of white and blue that spans the upper third of the work. A horizontal stripe of brilliant pink separates that upper field from three rectangles below.
