Commentary

This is number 16 of a series entitled, "Coffee Hanga Shoshi," ("A Short History of Coffee"), created for coffee lovers. The set consists of 63 woodblock prints, which depict the history of coffee as it grew popular all over the world.

The work, which is in black-and-white, is printed on long-fibered Japanese washi paper.

Marks
"Gijin Okuyama 1988," appears in pencil at the center, just above the lower margin. "Yoshi" appears in a black hexagon to the right of the signature
