Recto:
Artist signature in black ink, on bottom edge, 2” from left edge.
Verso:
In the top right corner is “13 ½ ? 8 ½” written in orange colored pencil and has been crossed out.
In the middle of the top edge is a stamp in blue ink that reads, “Please Credit: Ken Heyman, sixty-four, east fifty-fifth St. New York, N.Y, 10022, HA-1-4512.”
Directly next to the stamp’s lower left corner is the word, “Nigeria”, written in pencil.
Under the stamp in black ink is another stamp that reads, “Please Credit Photo By Ken Heyman from Rapho-Guillumette 50 east 54th St, N.Y. 22 N.Y. Plaza 5-0712/ When Reordering Please Refer to File Number __a16920___ Roll__NEN18___Frame____22___” and the address has been crossed out in black ink.
Another stamp in black ink occurs 2 3/4” down from the left edge and reads, “Photograph by Ken Heyman 1963 Magnum Photos 15 West 47th Street, N.Y.C. 36,” and has been crossed out in pencil.
1.5” from the left edge, in the middle of the print, are the words, “photo ‘59, print ‘59” in pencil
Next to that is a large red colored pencil triangle whose lines extend past its vertices.
In the very center of the print is written, “C/2082/ NEN-18 222” written in a column in pencil. “Nigeria” has been written under the column in pencil.
2” from the right edge and in the center is a large “E” written in black ink.
Under that is the number, “55+.”
Along the right edge in the middle, “Nigeria” is written again in cursive.
2.5” above the bottom edge is the title of the piece, “typed out and taped to the back.
There is an orange “K” written underneath the taped title, that peeks out from the bottom left edge.
“Baume” has been typed out, printed, and taped, and is part of a large piece of paper that has been ripped.
In the middle of the bottom edge, “4x5” has been written in red colored pencil and crossed out in pencil.
On the bottom right corner, “2017.12.39/KH-2744” has been written in a column in pencil and is covered by a large “C” also written in pencil.
