Commentary
This work depicts the Hercules Fountain (Herkulesbrunnen), which was located on Luetzow Place (Luetzowplatz) in the Tiergarten in Berlin. It was built in 1903. Designed by Otto Lessing, it was of marble. This fountain no longer stands. Records state that it was demolished, or destroyed.
