Commentary
When Yosaburo had an affair with the geisha Otomi, he was caught by her criminal friend and mutilated. Here, he stands at the right, before the house of Otomi. A scarf hides his scars. Yasu, another villain, has a bat-shaped tattoo on his face. They are plotting. Jan van Reek: http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/rekius/dip01.htm
