Object Description
Horizontal color woodblock print depicting a scene from the Noh play, Kagekiyo (Category 4 Play). Kagekiyo was a warrior of the Taira (Heike), but after their defeat in the Genpei Wars, the victorious Minamoto (Genji) clan banished him to Hiura, where he now lives as a blind beggar. His daughter, Hitomaru, whom he left in Kamakura, is now grown, and accompanied by a servant, seeks out her father.
