Object Description
From the series "Shin Nigao" (New Portraits). Kabuki actor Nakamura Fukusuke in the role of Okaru in Kanadehon Chushingura. "Shin Nigao" was a short-lived magazine series started in 1915 for 5 issues. Several artists contributed to one or two prints for the series which showcased more individual approaches to the traditional artors' portraits.
