Object Description
From the series "Shin Nigao" (New Portraits). Kabuki actor Onoe Kikujiro in the role of Hatsugiku. "Shin Nigao" was a short-lived magazine series started in 1915 for 5 issues. Several artists contributed to one or two prints for the series which showcased more individual approaches to traditional actors' portraits. See also: 2010.1.14 and 2010.1.15
