Object Description
Color woodblock print of a scene from the Noh play Senju. During the war between the Taira (or Heike) and Minamoto (or Genji) clans, Taira no Shigehira was captured by the Minamoto and taken to Kamakura. While a captive in the house of Kano no Suke Munemochi, his is entertained by the young woman, Senju no Mae.
