Object Description
From the album "The Life of Japanese Children" featuring children's traditional life events. Here, a child is carrying wood in winter. This print is an example of the sosaku hanga movement. The sosaku hanga ("creative prints") thought they should not only design but also carve and print their artworks themselves, instead of using professional carvers and printers.
