Commentary
In this print, the lion defending Stone Bridge growls at the hibiscus flowers that cling to the side of the gorge. This print is one of three published by the Kyoto Hanga-in, that was actively publicizing the revival of no theater in the ancient capital city. Prof. Bruce Coats
