Object Description
Large plate covered in a black slip on front and back. A white slip is applied over the black in an outward moving spiral pattern. Deep linear flutesare cut parallel through the slip, exposing the clay body. Polychromatic slips are applied in a rectalinear pattern between flutes over the underlying swirl pattern. A similar white swirl motif is applied with slip on the verso. Clear glaze over the front and back.
