Object Description
Edo period color woodblock print of a bijin holding a sake flask with smoke and firelight crossing the image transversally. This fine series by Kunisada II highlighted the talents of the artist. In the rare first edition printings (like this) with lacquer and blind printing they mark a high spot in Japanese print production in the 1850's.
