Marks
There is a scroll printed in the top quarter of the image. Text is printed within the scroll - loose text in the left and text within a yellow block in the right.
Loose text with two square red seals is in the upper right of the main image. A yellow block with text is in the upper right of the main image. A signature, round seal, flower-shaped red ink seal, and black and white rectangular seal are all printed in the left center of the image.
There are two characters printed in the lower left border.

Colored ink woodblock print on off-white paper. Oban tate-e.

Object Description
Edo period color woodblock print depicting middle-aged Abe Yasuna in court robes waving his fan at two butterflies, wih a young attendant in red make-up behind him. This is Ichimura Uzayemon XII in Kwaikei Shinoda at the Ichimura theatre in the winter of 1845. The image is probably a parody of the butterfly dance.
