There are Chinese characters carved into the metal on the bottom of the bottle, which attribute it to the reign of Cheng Lung.

Multicolored enamel and gilding on a cast copper base.

Object Description
Rounded Chinese cloisonée snuff bottle, decorated with a dragons within a cobalt bordered fields in the shape of inverted hearts, filled with sky blue enamel background. This decoration is within a larger ground black and orange mosaic ground. The button lid has the same mosaic pattern.
