There are Chinese characters engraved into the metal on the bottom of the bottle, attributing it to the reign of Cheng Lung.

Object Description
Chinese cloisonée snuff bottle, decorated with still-life scenes on each side, within a cobalt bordered four-lobed field with a yellow ground. This decoration is within a larger ground decorated with red and green chrysantheumums and gold scrolls against a turquoise ground. The button shaped lid has turquoise and black rings with a central red flower.
