Marks
There is a tag attached to the lid which reads: "88 JAD" on one side and "NF 8-67" on the other side. Chinese characters are engraved into the bottom of the bottle, attributing it to the reign of Cheng Lung.

Object Description
Chinese cloisonée snuff bottle, decorated on one side with a scene of a bird in a still-life, and on the other with a still-life. The scenes are executed in multicolored enamels within a six lobed red bordered field, with a yellow enamelled ground. The image is within a larger white ground, with a multicolored chrysanthemum and scroll pattern. The lid has a pointed knob, and is decorated with a ring of cobalt and a white ground with petal shaped cloisons.
