Object Description
Japanese cloisonée medium sized vase with a bulb at the bottom and a long, cylindrical neck (Chinese meiping style). The vase is decorated with a vine and floral pattern executed in multicolored enamels against turquoise and green glitter grounds, within a larger black enamel ground. There is a band of olive enamel at the top and bottom of the vase, with spiral cloisons within. Bands of cobalt blue with fish-scale pattern cloisons and black enamel with circular cloisons wrap around the bottom edge. A band of black enamel with circular cloisons encircles the top edge. There is emerald green gloss enamel on the interior. A protruding area in the center of the vase is executed in black enamel.
