Multicolored enamels and gilding on a cast copper base.

Object Description
Pumpkin shaped Japanese cloisonée wine pot with handle extending from one side, at a 90 degree angle from the spout. The pot is decorated with a vertical striped floral and butterfly pattern on the body and floral pattern on the top, executed in multicolored enamels on copper, green, mustard yellow, and dark brown speckled grounds. The pot has a button lid with a daisy shaped knob.
