Multicolored enamels and glitter on a cast copper base.

Object Description
Japanese cloisonée ewer, with a wide base and a narrow neck. The ewer is decorated with a butterfly design on the base with a green glittered ground. The bottom edge is decorated with a yellow/gold enamel and fish-scale cloisons, followed by a red enamel band with semicircular cloisons. The beginning of the base has a multicolored floral design with fish-scale shaped cloisons. The handle, spout and neck are dark blue, and the neck has white, blue and red flowers on it. The interior is coated in turquoise enamel.
