There is a label on the fop left ribs which reads: "63." There are three labels on the bottom which read: "73/1-32," "73/SF/UF2/10-," and "90-84D25/CANTON." Handwritten is the number "398," faded.

Multicolored enamels, gilding, and glitter on a cast copper base.
Object Description
Chinese cloisonée ox with head twisting backward (recumbent), executed in a brown enamel and glitter ground. The animal has gilded horns, ears, hooves, and lines which follow the leg, neck, joints, and tail line. The bottom has an opening with a design that is circular with two triangles .
