Marks
There is a sticker on the bottom of the vase, which reads: "246/ILA/25/11-7-64." A piece of tape on the bottom of the wooden base reads: "DAR80."

Cast copper vase with multicolored enamel and gilding. Accompanied by a wooden base.

Object Description
Japanese cloisonée meiping style stick neck vase, with a bulb at the bottom. The vase is decorated with a stylized floral pattern executed in multicolored enamels and glitter under the enamel. The decoration is within a black enamel ground with a band of olive green enamel at the top and bottom areas of the vase. The green enamel contains curling cloisons. The upper and lower edges of the vase are finished in a black enamel with circular cloisons (upper) and fish-scale cloisons (lower). There is also a small protruding band around the base of the neck decorated in black enamel with circular cloisons. The interior of the vase is coated in forest green gloss enamel.
